Music Nova Scotia is the music-specific industry association — it funds you as a business, and also runs the membership, advocacy, and events-calendar side of the organization.

Arts Nova Scotia's grants cover many disciplines, and music is only one of them. Its individual grants stream is the one that applies to musicians presenting their work publicly; the source explicitly excludes creative-industries activity like recording and music-video production from this stream — that work belongs on the Music Nova Scotia side instead.
