Frequently Asked Questions
What is Echolead?
Echolead is a live-events tracker. We aggregate concerts, comedy, theatre, and other live entertainment from venues across Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina & Chile.
Where do the listings come from?
Listings are collected automatically from venue and ticket-vendor websites and refreshed daily.
Is Echolead free to use?
Yes. The site is free and we don't sell anything — ticket links go to the venue or the official ticket seller.
Why is the price missing on some events?
Many venues and ticket vendors only publish the price on the ticket page itself. When we can't confirm a price, we leave it off rather than guess — the ticket link will show the current price.
Can I save events?
Yes. Sign in with a passwordless email magic link to save events across devices. You can also submit events, which are reviewed by a moderator before publishing.
I run a venue, I'm an artist, or I book shows as a promoter — can I manage my profile?
You can claim a profile to verify you're the venue, artist, or promoter behind it — sign in and choose Claim this listing on the venue or artist page. Claims are reviewed before they're approved. After that, Edit listing and Add a show cover corrections and shows we missed. The venue's own calendar stays the source of truth. You patch what our scrape missed.
I'm a musician — where can I find grants and funding?
We keep a music funding directory covering Canadian federal and provincial programs. Amounts, deadlines and eligibility are read from each funder's own page and re-checked on a schedule — anything we can't confirm at the source is left out rather than guessed.
I'm a musician — where can I learn about live/recorded sound?
We keep a sound guide for musicians covering gain staging, EQ, compression, mixing and what to expect at soundcheck — written for working musicians — and a free stage plot maker for the plot and input list a venue wants with the advance.
A listing is wrong — how do I report it?
Email [email protected] with a link to the event page and what needs correcting.
